Today’s episode is part 2 of the 2 part series where I talk about..
The 7 Life Lessons I’ve Learned After Doing 300 Podcast Episodes and garnering over 2.8 million downloads…
On the first part of this series, which was episode 307, I shared lessons 1, 2 and 3.
And today we’re going to finish up by talking about 4,5,6 and 7.
So lets get started…
Learning number 4 is that change is the only constant..
And we should not be afraid of it.
And this is true especially when it comes to creating content and podcasting.
I’ve made changes in my podcast from time to time.
If you recall, when we first began, we were doing audio interviews,
and I loved the experience!
It was new to me.
I didn’t have experience interviewing anyone before starting this podcast.
And honestly, I was nervous and unsure about how this would play out.
I didn’t really like listening to myself over the microphone.
But I just decided to go ahead…
I thought whose going to listen anyway, right?..
Little did I know that slowly but surely, we would reach close to 3 million downloads.
There was a lot of learning and growth that came along with doing these audio interviews because I was pushing my comfort zone..
But as time passed by?
It became easier and easier.
Because it became part of my routine..
Yes, I did enjoy the conversations and getting to know my guest on the other end of the microphone..
But I didn’t have that same feeling of slight nervousness like I did before when I had just started podcasting.
And that ‘slight nervousness’ and uncertainty is addictive and exhilarating.
And I craved to push beyond my comfort zone even more…
And also the fact that when I was doing my interviews?..
I couldn’t see my guest and nor could they see me.
so I wanted to get a bit closer to a real life interaction.
Now the simplicity that an audio conversation provides is why people get into audio podcasting in the first place,
but based on where I was in my personal evolution?..
I was craving to do something more.
Does that make sense?..
That’s why i decided to convert my audio podcast into a video podcast.
And what’s more?..
I decided to do it live!
This is one step closer to my ultimate goal of doing in person interviews, but I’ll take this for now.
I’ve been really enjoying doing these live video sessions!
Although most of our audience still enjoys our podcasts in it’s audio format?
Thanks for your support!
And this is not the only change…
I’ve also changed the format a bit.
I would release 1 new podcast interview every Monday, which was great.
But I wanted to go deeper and provide you something extra.
That’s why I went from 1 episode per week?
to 3 episodes per week (at the moment).
- On Monday’s we release a new interview.
- On Wednesdays, I give you a personal episode, which is what you’re listening to right now.
These Wednesday sessions are an opportunity for me to go deeper and share a teaching, a story, a meditation or a training with you.
And based on the feedback I’ve received so far,
most of you are enjoying this!
- And finally on Thursdays, I send you a book read’s episode.
Every week, I choose an excerpt from a book that has really inspired me…
And I read it out to our listeners around the globe!
Think of this as a glimpse into what you might discover from the entire book..
Again, I’ve got a lot of positive feedback about this Audible styled series from our listeners, so we’ll be continuing this.
The bottom line, Action tribe, is that from time to time you need to be assessing what you’re doing against what your goals are…
And if it’s not in alignment with your vision?..
Then don’t be afraid to afraid to change or pivot.
Get information, get feedback, analyse the situation and take action!
You’ve got this!..
I’ve got this internal principle that I live by, which is about being never perfect, but always being in the pursuit of it.
My goal is to always be learning and growing,
and being open to feedback and information..
so that we can serve our community to the best of our abilities.
I hope that makes sense?..
Ok, so the 5th realization that I’d like to share with you today is about the struggle..
Struggles and challenges are part of life.
They happen to everyone.
Whether we’re talking about…
Finances, health, spirituality, relationships or something else,
Challenges have a way of appearing in our lives out of nowhere!
What this means is that you need to be bold enough to confront it and exhibit your resilience – because you’re strong enough.
When I began my podcast?
I began by doing this part time..
And then last year, the Universe presented an opportunity for me to dive into this full time…
And when I first jumped in?..
It was like jumping into the ice cold waters of life for the first time…
away the comforts of my warm and comfortable boat.
It was cold…
It was challenging…
It was a bit unfamiliar…
And I was definitely pushing beyond my comfort zone.
But as I began to relax into it, breathe deeply and let go?
That’s when I began to enjoy this process of entrepreneurship even more.
The downs and ups…
The dark and the light……
The challenges and the victories…
But if you ask any entrepreneur in the world?..
They’ll tell that all of this is worth it.
The point I’m trying to make Action tribe is that when you go out on your own…
You must be prepared to experience challenges, rejection and failures.
Because based on the interviews that I’ve conducted, everyone goes through them.
And Motivational speaker Les Brown did say,
“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.”
So develop a thick skin, get rooted and grounded, connect with your higher power and blaze your own trail!
I know you have it in you.
So the next life lesson that I’ve learned is to…
Focus on what I’m passionate about and good at… rather than trying to do everything myself..
Now one of the things I’ve realized is that i’m good at certain things which include..
Sharing my vision, coming up with new ideas and identifying ways to grow our movement…
What I’m not so passionate about are the other more routine operational activities that are involved in running a podcast..
I’m not not an expert at ALL the activities that we’ll need to execute in order to achieve our goals.
So what I’ve decided to do is focus on sharing my vision and story,
and in the process attract professionals, experts and marketers of various fields who share our values and our belief systems.
This includes people who are experts in or passionate about areas such as as..
Search engine optimization (SEO), writing blog articles, graphic design, social media, audio editing and much more…
By the way, if you’re one of them, then get in touch with me because we’re planning to expand our team.

Also, if you have a podcast or a radio show, and you’d like to interview me about my story, my podcast and the wisdom of the chakras, then get in touch!..
If you’re a brand or a community with a common vision and you’d like to collaborate, then let’s connect.
Let’s do something amazing!
The point I’m trying to make Action tribe is that don’t try to do everything yourself.
It’s impossible, and you’ll just get burnt out.
Collaborate, delegate or hire people who are smarter than you.
As a creator?..
Your goal is to receive ideas, messages and nudges from spirit…
And then work on sharing your vision with the world around you, so that you can rally people around your ideas and goals.
If you’re the smartest person in the room, then you’re probably in the wrong room.
Take a moment.
Let that weight melt away from your shoulders.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Ok, moving on…
The next life lesson is to…
Stop comparing yourself with others..
The only person you should compare yourself with is your past self..
Action tribe, this is really important.
These days, we’re always a button away from a social media platform.
And while the internet is really powerful because it enables the lightning fast transmission and sharing of information and ideas?…
It also has it’s disadvantages.
When people post on social media, on Instagram or Facebook,
They usually display their happy moments, their wins and their achievements.
No one really shows their challenges and their failures.
And because of this, you get sucked into this bubble of feeling like everyone else is doing better than you…
And in the process?..
You forget about your own journey and your own vision.
Besides, even if you’re doing really well?…
There’s always someone in the world who is smarter, richer, more influential and more luckier than you.
So this comparison brigade never ends.
And if you go down this rabbit hole, you’ll never be happy.
Instead, focus on your own self.
And think about how far you’ve come along your journey.
Remember the difficulties….. and challenges….. and dark moments that you’ve gone through.
The truth is that you’re a warrior,
and there’s no one in this known Universe that’s as unique and special as you are.
So don’t compare your journey.
Celebrate others and support them.
You never know when a smile, a pat on the back or a quick check in..
Can make a person’s day.
Your one action can make a dent in the universe by a simple gesture and your state of being..
Just like the flutter of a butterfly….
Can start a hurricane across the world..
So there you go action tribe.
That was part two of our two part series about the life lessons that I learned after doing over 300 episodes…
Here’s a summary of all the 7 points…
Do things that nourish your soul
Follow your own path, even if that path is a long, winding road.
Use your circumstances and your childhood memories to your advantage
Change is the only constant, so don’t be afriad to change or pivot.
Struggles and challenges are part of life
Don’t try to do everything yourself. Focus on what you’re good at and passionate about.
Stop comparing yourself with others. It’s unfair and you’ll never be happy. Focus on your own journey and how far you’ve come along this past.
