- What inspired you to write your book – Fully engaged?
- What is your definition of the term being ‘Fully Engaged’?
- Why is this so important, especially in today age as compared to maybe 20 years back?
- One of the techniques that you talk about in your book is the ‘THOUGHT AWARENESS’ technique. What exactly is this?
These were some of the questions I asked Thomas Sterner, and quite honestly, the responses I received were truly amazing….

Inspirational quote – Everything in life worth achieving requires practice. In fact, life itself is nothing more than one long practice session, an endless effort of refining our motions. When the proper mechanics of practice are understood, the task of learning something new becomes a stress free experience of joy and calmness, a process which settles all areas of life and promotes proper perspective on all of life’s difficulties.
Alternative Practice – Mindfulness
Action step – Purposely, put yourself in a position that you struggle in. Whether it is talking in front of people or job interviews in case you’re looking for a job. Put yourself in such situations and experience being the noticer of your thoughts, so that you can really begin to see the difference between being ‘in’ your thoughts and being ‘the watcher’ of your thoughts.
There’s a very distinct difference there and the feeling is very distinct as well. If you can do that, you can feel what it’s like to be separate from your mind. That will open you up to a whole new paradigm and a whole new way of thinking.
Major Life Lesson – When I’m feeling stressed, when i’m feeling impatient, its always an indication to me that I’m not in the present moment. I then work towards pulling myself back into the present moment because there is always calmness in the present moment.
Life Purpose – Alleviating struggle in people. Nothing beats working with people one on one and watching them learn to process their life differently.
- Best Advice – Start a meditation practice.
- Personal Habit – Every morning I walk 6 miles through a wooded path. I’m surrounded by the sounds of nature. It really does re-center me and clears my mind.
